Ron.McElroy – Terms of Business

These Terms of Business apply to all work carried out by Ron.McElroy (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By booking our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Our Services

Ron.McElroy provides professional picture hanging and artwork installation services for:

• Art galleries

• Pop-up shops

• Studios

• Commercial spaces

• Private clients

Services may include measuring, levelling, fixing, and hanging artwork or frames.

We do not provide artwork, frames, or hanging hardware unless agreed in advance.

2. Quotes and Pricing

• All quotes are based on the information provided at the time.

• Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

• Prices may change if the scope of work changes on site.

• Additional work will be agreed before proceeding where possible.

3. Bookings and Cancellations

• Bookings are confirmed once agreed by email or message.

• Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged in full or in part.

• We reserve the right to reschedule due to illness, emergencies, or circumstances beyond our control.

4. Payment Terms

• Payment terms will be agreed before work begins.

• Invoices are payable within the stated timeframe.

• Late payments may result in additional charges or refusal of future work.

5. Client Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring:

• Clear access to the work area

• Walls are suitable for fixing

• Artwork is ready for installation

• Any restrictions or building rules are disclosed in advance

We are not responsible for delays caused by restricted access or incomplete preparation.

6. Walls, Fixings and Surfaces

• We take care when working on walls and surfaces.

• Some wall types may not be suitable for certain fixings.

• Minor marks or surface disruption may occur as part of normal installation.

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or structural issues.

7. Artwork Handling and Liability

• All artwork is handled with reasonable care and professional attention.

• Clients remain responsible for insuring their artwork at all times.

Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided, unless otherwise required by law.

We are not responsible for:

• Hidden defects in artwork or frames

• Damage caused by poor wall condition

• Damage occurring after installation

8. Health and Safety

We reserve the right to refuse or stop work if conditions are unsafe.
This includes unstable structures, unsafe heights, or unsuitable environments.

9. Photography and Portfolio Use

With permission, we may photograph completed installations for our portfolio, website, or social media.

No images will be shared without consent.

10. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events outside our control.
This includes weather, power failure, access issues, or supplier delays.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Business are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Disclaimer

Ron.McElroy holds appropriate public liability insurance for the services we provide.

This insurance covers damage or injury caused directly by our work, where we are found to be negligent.

Clients are responsible for ensuring that all artwork, mirrors, or objects are adequately insured at all times, including during handling, installation, and after completion.

We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by pre-existing conditions, hidden defects, or factors outside our control.
